Alex is an independent theatre maker working predominantly in installation theatre. She has a wide range of experience in various roles from acting to directing, to writing to producing and has worked in Perth, Edinburgh and Melbourne. She is the person behind Tipsy Teacup which creates immersive works for adults and children.

She also has an interest in public space and has done various temporary interactive street-art installations under a not-to-be-revealed pseudonym. Her work has garnered a small following and has been featured in blogs and Magazines (such as Frankie) both in Australia and overseas.

Her works are often resonating, poignant, profound and small. She is currently completing a PGDip in Theatre Creation(Animateuring) from the Victorian College of the Arts and a BA(Arts Management) from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Alex was the recipient of the VCA Barbara Manning Scholarship (2011) and co-wrote/co-directed Deceased Estate which won the Melbourne Fringe Festival MIAF award. She was the Program Coordinator at ArtPlay (Melbourne) for over 2 years curating various arts workshops and exhibitions for children and families.

She is a founding member of INHEPI, an international network of interactive theatre makers.
